Accessibility Statement
This course has been created by the Medical Mediation Foundation.
We want as many people as possible to be able to use this resource.
Accessibility has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.
How accessible this module is
The vast
majority of this platform adheres to the WCAG 2.0 AAA conformance requirements.
There is one exception:
- There are several non-mandatory drag and drop and sorting
interactive exercises which don’t work as well as we would like with
screen readers and keyboard-only navigation
Reporting accessibility problems with this website
We are always looking to improve the accessibility of the Green Zone Course. If you find any problem or think we are not meeting accessibility requirements, contact: admin@medicalmediation.org
Disproportionate burden
We are working with a number of technology platforms and lobbying them to make changes to enable us to improve accessibility. We do not have software development expertise within our organisation, so it is a disproportionate burden to redesign tools. We are using several workarounds to provide improvements where we can.
How we tested this module
This module was last tested in May 2023. The test was carried out by NHS England.
They
tested: Every module page on the following browsers/devices:
- PC Windows 10: Edge
- PC Windows 10: Firefox
- MAC OSX: Chrome
- IPAD OS 14.3: Safari
- Android 9.1: Chrome
- Android 10: Chrome
We also carried out internal tests at the Medical Mediation Foundation in April 2023.
What we’re doing to improve accessibility
We will make updates at least every year to our content and platform, this includes accessibility improvements. With a particular focus on the challenges outlined above.
